BIO

I was the third born, but I was raised an only child. Of me, Cecile, and Madeline (my elder sisters), I was the only one lucky enough to make it. I applaud my mother for her strength; she has been through so much more trial than triumph. At a young age, privvy to my mother's endeavors and conquering of childhood cancer, I came to the revelation that every woman in my life had been awarded the butt-end of things despite their tribulations. I was never a proper "girl", though I participated in ballet and fancied dresses. I was opinionated and loud. I hated the word "classy". In kindergarten, I kicked a male classmate in the forehead for making a vile remark about my best friend's appearance. It was never a distrust of men, but rather a coagulating rage ... a fear ... of growing up as a woman. Now, as a soon-to-be young adult having taken up multiple hobbies such as guitar, coding, writing, singing, etc., I realize I can prosper as a woman and still speak out about unfair treatment. I realize I am capable of more than what was offered to me as a child. I realize that we, as women, have been injusticed for thousands of years, and to speak out publically is my dream.
